Bulgarian Rose Oil

The high quality Bulgarian rose oil gained its producers scores of medals and diplomas from many exhibitions and fairs.

The Rose Valley in Bulgaria, near the town of Kazanlak, is among the major producers of attar of roses in the world.

Thanks to the specific geographic and climate conditions – favorable temperatures during February, when blossoming buds formed, the maroon forest soils and frequency of the rainfalls during the rose picking in May and June, more than 3 centuries had been cultivated the famous all over the world Bulgarian oil rose. This rose is used for producing the incomparable Bulgarian rose attar.

The Valley of Roses near town of Kazanluk is one of the biggest producers of rose oil in the world. The soil and the climate in this region are quite suitable for the roses. The conditions in Kazanlak proved to be more favourable for the cultivation of the rose than those in its own country of origin - Tunisia. The air humidity, cloudiness and precipitation in May and June contributed to obtain roses yielding high percentage of oil.

The Bulgarian roses  are inheritors of the so called Damascena rose, that was brought ages ago. The rose oil is called "the liquid gold" of Bulgaria because of its high price.

For one gramme of rose oil are used more than 1000 rose blossoms! Every flower is picked by hands and preserved carefully for the distillation.

Bulgarian rose oil is called “the Queen of all essential oils” . Bulgarian Rose Oil contains more than 300 valuable substances with a marvellous effect over the human body, that's why it is one of the most precious and expensive oils in the world.

Thanks to the gained experience during the centuries in the brandy production the Bulgarian rose-producers developed the process of rose production by the means of double distillation. On that way the quantity of the extracted product was increased , keeping the fin fragrance and unique qualities of the rose attar.

The main compounds of the Bulgarian rose oil are high alcohols (eleoptens), paraffin hydrocarbons (stearoptens) and many microelements. Their proportion gives the Bulgarian Rose oil rich and long-lasting floral aroma.

Rose oil has many positive reactions on the human body. Rose oils are widely used in burners and vaporizers for treatment of coughs, dry and sore throats, nervous tension, insomnia and stress.

In his long time practice the Bulgarian rose-producer intoduced a lot of new elements in rose production and cultivation and thanks to them obtained more quantity and more quality rose oil compared to the other producers from Turkey, India, Morocco.

Rose oil, meaning either rose otto (attar of rose, attar of roses) or rose absolute, is the essential oil extracted from the petals of various types of rose. Rose ottos are extracted through steam distillation, while rose absolutes are obtained through solvent extraction or supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, with the absolute being used more commonly in perfumery. Even with their high price and the advent of organic synthesis, rose oils are still perhaps the most widely used essential oil in perfumery.

Still today the Bulgarian rose oil hasn’t got any competitions on quality and it is an unique component in the recieps of the world famous perfumery companies like Elizabeth Arden, Kenzo, Channel, Bulgari, Paco Rabanne, ?stee Lauder and many others.

All the company products are tested and a certificate of analysis and quality is provided.

ALBA GRUPS LTD is certified in EU rose oil producer.

Although pine oil can cause allergic reactions, it is very useful to relieve mental, physical and sexual fatigue, while having a cleansing and clearing effect on a room. Even though it can be used in cystitis, hepatitis and prostate problems, as well as to improve circulation and to relieve rheumatism, gout, sciatica and arthritis, it should be done so with care due to the sensitizing nature of this oil.

Origin of pine oil

This evergreen tree can grow up to 40 meters (130 feet) and has a flat crown and has a reddish-brown, deeply fissured bark, needle-like gray-green leaves that grow in pairs, orange-yellow flowers and pointed brown cones.

It is extensively cultivated for its wood, tar, pitch, turpentine and essential oil and was used by the Native Americans to prevent scurvy. Mattresses where stuffed with the needles to repel lice and fleas and the ancient Egyptians used pine kernels in their cooking.
