23 - 25 august - Natural Products Expo Asia 2012 Thailand & Japan Pavilion featuring Splendid Products and Facilities

Natural Products Expo Asia 2012 (NPEA 2012) will take place at Hall 3F-G, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 23 – 25 August 2012, hosting an exhibition area of 6,000 m2 to encompass the finest natural and organic products sourced from around the world including food & beverage, dietary supplement, natural and raw ingredients, cosmetics and skin care products, spa facilities and supplies, and more. Staged as the region’s most acclaimed trading and sourcing platform the show is further supplemented by a series of high-profile educations, networking events, and stimulating live cooking demonstrations to gather thousands of quality visitors to excel in the buzz.

International marketplace for the natural and organic enthusiasts

Apart from the most popular food & beverage and dietary supplement featured sectors, the show presents visitors with an ultimate sourcing ground for the world’s best products – National Pavilions, with an abundant supply of purest skin care and personal care products from Australia and New Zealand, healthy foods, super foods, snacks, and beverages from the U.S., tea and Traditional Chinese Medicine from China, supplements from the U.K. and Singapore, Ayurvedic products from India and more.

Mr. Hisanobu Takekoshi Staff Official of Industry Promotion Department, City of Sapporo states “The needs for organic products rise every year, not just Sapporo or Hokkaido but Japan as a whole. We want to make use of the brand – Hokkaido and promote the Hokkaido-made products actively to overseas countries and regions. NPEA is an exhibition which emphasizes on health related products and we have much expectation on it.”

Thai Spa Products on Show

The Thai Spa Association with the support of the Department of International Trade Promotion is proud to present quality Thai Spa product companies for NPEA 2012. Andrew Jacka, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition (APSWC) and President of Thai Spa Association commented, “This is the third consecutive year Thai Spa product suppliers have participated in this event. The show is an opportunity for Thai Spa product suppliers to showcase the premium quality spa and spa related products. Being a niche market event, with a very definitive market position, NPEA is seen as the ideal event to showcase these products.”

Thailand is seeking to establish itself as a leading destination for wellness, spa and medical tourism and become a “World-Class Health Provider” by 2014, earning the kingdom an estimated US$11.5 billion between 2010 and 2014; with some USD1.3 billion of this is expected to be generated by products and supplies. Andrew Jacka revealed, “By using natural and organic Thai herbs and fruits, the Thai manufacturers are further able to enhance their products, creating niche market, premium quality, value for money product ranges, unique in the world.”

Add-value Education Tracks

The show also presents visitors with value-added events held on 22 - 23 August. Nutracon Asia 2012, running to its fourth edition, continues to bring forward a platform for the health and nutrition expertise to discover the latest global trend and market statistics. 4 workshops are divided namely Market Access & Focus Workshop, Organic Workshop (jointly held with Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre), Healthy-Aging Workshop - Functional Food & Beverage and Supplement, Healthy-Aging Workshop - Personal Care and Cosmetic (jointly held with Hong Kong Cosmetic Technical Resources Centre). Distinguished speakers include BASF, Abbott Nutrition, Comvita NZ, just to name a few.
